Η Λίντια Μονκς σπούδασε εικονογράφηση στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κίνγκστον, απ΄ όπου αποφοίτησε το 1994 με άριστα. Έχει κερδίσει το βραβείο Smarties Bronze Award για το /Wish/ Were a Dog και έχει εικονογραφήσει διάφορα παιδικά βιβλία. Οι εικονογραφήσεις της γνωρίζουν αναγνώριση σε ολόκληρο τον κόσμο.
