Igor Frolov is a graduate of the Moscow Conservatoire of Music and a post-graduate student of the eminent David Oistrakh. His successful performances at numerous Russian and International competitions has won him worldwide acknowledgement. This achievement has allowed him to appear with concerts in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Australia. To this day he continues to have an active schedule of performances.
He has served as a judge member of many international competitions. For many years Igor Frolov was the Chairman of the Judges at the All-Russian Violinistsʼ Competition, and the International Tchaikovsky Violin Masters Competition.
In 1994 Igor Frolov was elected a Full Member of the International Academy of Sciences. He is the composer of the world famous Scherzo, Divertimento, Concert Fantasia on Gershwin΄s Opera "Porgy and Bess", and many others.
