Ο Νίκος Κυριαζής, γυιός του γνωστού συγγραφέα ιστορικών μυθιστορημάτων για το Βυζάντιο, Κώστα Κυριαζή, σπούδασε Οικονομικά και εκπόνησε το διδακτορικό του στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Βόννης. Εργάστηκε ως επισκέπτης καθηγητής στα Πανεπιστήμια Trier και Harvard, ως ειδικός για τα Νομισματικά στη Γενική Διεύθυνση Μελετών του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου, ως σύμβουλος του Υπουργού Εθνικής Οικονομίας και του Διοικητή της Εθνικής Τράπεζας, και ως γενικός γραμματέας του Εθνικού Κέντρου Δημόσιας Διοίκησης. Είναι καθηγητής στο Οικονομικό Τμήμα του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας και συγγραφέας επιστημονικών βιβλίων και μυθιστορημάτων.
